Oral oil is an Ayurvedic treatment that has been used for around 5000 years, long before the advent of the toothbrush. Its use improves oral hygiene by providing antibacterial protection and detoxifying the body.
According to Ayurveda, the use of oral oil purifies the whole body, each part of the tongue being connected to an organ (liver, intestine, stomach, etc.). This treatment releases toxins in these organs, allowing them to be absorbed by the oil.
Biphasic mouth oil contains a blend of sesame oil, coconut oil and hydrolats to facilitate gargling. Added to this are xylitol, an ingredient derived from birch sap, and essential oils of cinnamon and clove to enhance antibacterial protection.
